Introduction
Taska is a marketplace platform that connects individuals and businesses with trusted local professionals offering on-demand services, from repairs and cleaning to personal errands and digital tasks. Designed for convenience, reliability, and trust, Taska streamlines the hiring and management of service providers across multiple sectors for Africans.
Problem Statement / Challenges
The on-demand service economy in Africa remains largely informal, with inefficiencies in trust, quality assurance, and payments. Taska set out to address this by creating a digital ecosystem that connects service providers to verified customers while ensuring transparency, fair pricing, and job security for freelancers. Digiits’ challenge was to build a secure, scalable platform that delivers both usability and operational reliability in emerging markets.
Design process
We began with extensive user research and competitive benchmarking to understand the needs of both service seekers and providers.
User journeys were mapped around speed, trust, and simplicity, resulting in intuitive interfaces for job posting, bid comparison, and service management.
A clean, human-centric design language was developed to balance professionalism with friendliness, giving users confidence in every interaction.
