Introduction
Xplora is a social networking and event discovery platform designed to help travelers and locals explore cities across Africa in a more connected, engaging, and personalized way. The platform enables users to discover upcoming events, buy tickets, connect with locals, and explore curated experiences in any African city, all within one intelligent mobile app.
Problem Statement / Challenges
For many travelers and city dwellers, finding authentic local experiences in new cities can be fragmented, unreliable, or inaccessible. Event organizers also face challenges in reaching the right audiences and managing ticketing efficiently.The challenge for Digiits was to create a scalable, AI-driven ecosystem that bridges event organizers, tourists, and locals, improving discovery, trust, and participation across Africa’s growing creative economy.

We developed a clear design system built around ease of discovery, community engagement, and real-time personalization.
Prototyping focused on fluid navigation, location-based event curation, and simplified ticketing flows, ensuring a frictionless user journey from discovery to attendance.
